Sweet beats on turntable.fm
One of our daily rituals at the COG1 office (besides multiple visits to Sight Glass) is to hop on to turntable.fm. Besides letting us temporarily live out our unfulfilled dreams to become deejays (ok, maybe just me?), we get to collectively build a soundtrack to set the tone for that day. All of you designers out there know that good tunes are an essential part of the creative process.
What you might not know is that the COG1_SF room is always on the main PA here are the office. So when we have “guest deejays” drop in and spin some tracks, they are indeed being broadcast live here for the team. It makes for a varied soundtrack and definitely gets the creative juices flowing, to say the least.
Today, we’re rockin’ a sweet Outside Lands mix in honor of the first day of the festival. The Arcade Fire, Girl Talk, Deadmau5, The Shins, Ellie Goulding, Phish + bonus Lemon Bourbons to drink while we spin! Sounds like a winning combination to me.
What do you do to get inspired?
